Keeping Cosy This January

Keeping Cosy

January is the only month of the year I don’t get along with. As soon as the festive season passes the January blues sink in which makes everything feel a little grey and dull. I’ve been making more of an effort to keep cosy this winter and it’s the only thing getting me through the January blues. There’s nothing I love more than a cosy night in wearing an oversized jumper and ending the day in front of Netflix.

I’ve been lusting over some new loungewear and I can’t stop thinking about these Blush Pink Ugg Slippers. I’ve wanted a pair for years now and these are the ultimate cosy treat. I’ve come to the realisation that a dressing gown can solve everything. Whenever I’m in need of a pick me up I’ll reach for my dressing gown and it always works. I stumbled across these Feel Good Jersey ones and I’m definitely smitten with my choice! They are beautiful.

Nothing creates a cosy atmosphere more than lighting a few candles. I’m still working my way through my favourite White Company scents. My two go-to’s are Winter and Pomegranate. Both of them are perfect for cosy nights in with a spiced hot chocolate in hand and Friends on the TV.

Every winter I develop a slight obsession with jumpers. My wardrobe if bursting with cosy, oversized jumpers in all styles and shades. I’ve been living in this white Pom Pom Jumper since before Christmas as it goes perfectly with every outfit choice. It’s a staple in my winter wardrobe. Whenever I’m stepping outside the house I always reach for my hat. Up until last year I never owned a hat of any sort and now I won’t be seen on a walk without one! I love this super cute Pink Bobble Hat to brighten up an outfit whilst keeping me cosy.

Finally, I love making a house feel super homey in the colder months. I’ve filled the Christmas tree shaped gap with a Velvet Floor Cushion from Urban Outfitters and a few Desenio Prints but I’m lusting over the perfect pink chair. This West Elm one is the dream however this super affordable one looks amazing! We’ve also filled our home with cosy throws for the evenings and piled our coffee table with feel good books to flick through with a cup of tea.

With all of these super simple cosy hacks January really doesn’t feel so bad!

What do you do to keep cosy in January?

  • To be honest I enjoy January a lot because I’m more of a cold loving person but there’s this one thing I can’t stand and ruins the whole month for me which is my exams session at uni. January and February full of exams – one after another. So for the time I need to study a lot at home I try to get some nice candles and get in some cosy clothes, make myself a cup of fruit tea and just get into bed with my note to read them all. I just wish I could read some nice book instead. Lovely post!

  • I tend not to hate January because I’m still full of the “New Year New Me” attitude and everything feels like a fresh start, but Feb and March are usually pretty grim for me. I’m all about the cozy vibes and I love your suggestions, if fact I’m off to treat myself to some new PJ’s now 🙂 xx
