2017 Beauty Discoveries

2017 beauty discoveries  2017 beauty discoveries

I loved rounding up my skincare discoveries for 2017 earlier this month that I wanted to shout out a few beauty discoveries too. Although I wouldn’t say I was overwhelmed with beauty launches in 2017 I already have a wish list for what’s to be released in 2018!

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – An early 2017 discovery for me and one I totally fell in love with. I have already mentioned how dreamy this foundation is multiple times on the blog but I would 100% repurchase. I’m waiting for the spring to pick up a new bottle even though it’s the perfect all year round formula. The velvety skin like finish offers enough coverage to blur imperfections and enhances a glow. It’s a beauty highlight for sure.

Lancome was one of my favourite brands throughout the year, continuously releasing beautiful products that always impressed me. The Idole Teint 24 Hour Foundation* is an everyday staple for me and I’ve converted so many family and friends to using this. It makes my skin look the best it’s ever looked, dewy and radiant with amazing coverage. It’s a flawless everyday foundation that can do no wrong. I’ve also fallen in love with the Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick* too. Perfect for quick fixes, on the go application or 5 minute makeup looks. It’s totally flawless and looks beautifully fresh on the skin. A lipstick love has been the Lancôme L’Absolu Rouge Cream Lipstick* in the shade Nuit and Jour. A creamy nude with a hint of pink for hydrated, natural looking lips.

Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette: Beauty Glow – I have used this palette almost every single day since I picked it up in the summer. I love the diversity of looks, the buttery eyeshadow formulas and of course the wonder glow bronze/highlight duo. It’s halved my makeup application time and the quality is a dream. I highly recommend one of these beautiful palettes and it was easily one my favourite 2017 beauty discoveries.

PIXI Rose Flash Balm* – So although this is more of a skincare product I actually use it as a primer in the AM. It’s a thick balm formula with the most beautiful fresh rose scent and has so many uses. I prefer it as a super nourishing moisturiser in the morning that keeps my makeup looking fresh and hydrated all day. You only need a tiny amount to press into the skin for a radiant glow.

Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks – No beauty round up post would be complete without a charlotte tilbury lipstick or two. I love everything about them. The rose gold packaging is enough to keep me lusting over the whole range but a few favourites are Very Victoria, Kim KW and Secret Salma.

Glossier Cloud Paint in Dusk & Generation G in Cake – Seeing as my beauty goal of 2018 is to embrace minimal makeup I have been reaching for this Glossier duo. The Cloud Paint works wonders applied to the cheeks or lips to instantly add a pop of colour. They add the most naturally beautiful radiance that makes the skin appear super smooth and soft focused. Although the Generation G lipstick range isn’t incredible I just love how easy they are to apply whilst looking slightly different on everyone. The shade ‘cake’ is the perfect everyday nude with a semi sheer-matte finish and the silkiest of formulas.

Let me know what your favourite 2017 beauty discoveries were!

I have recently started playing with the pixi beauty rose flash primer. I’m using it as a primer too and I am quite enjoying it so far, it really is hydrating! Great picks, I hope to try some charlotte tilbury this year.

  • I’ve yet to try anything from Glossier and the only Charlotte Tilbury products I’ve every purchased have been gifts for friends so I think those two brands are top of my list for 2018 for sure.
