Goals For 2018

It still hasn’t quite sunk in that it’s now 2018. Seriously, where has the time gone?! For the first time in forever I don’t feel anxious and uneasy about the new year starting, it just feels like another day, which I love! I’ve decided to follow suit and set some goals for the new year.

Travel to at least 2 new places. I don’t think a list of goals would be complete without striving for some more travelling. Over the last year I have become a real homebody now we have our own place so hopefully this year we can get out of our comfort zone and explore new places. Topping our list is Barcelona, Italy, Stockholm and hopefully New York towards the end of the year. If we manage to tick off 2 I’d be more than content.

Buy a polaroid camera. My whole camera feed is packed full of photos that I never print off or actually do anything with! I mainly take photos for my blog and rarely ever for memories in the moment. I’m hoping that investing in a polaroid camera will totally change that and by the end of the year I’ll have lots of little snapshots to look back on.

Celebrate turning 25! I am trying to come to terms with the fact I’ll be turning 25 at the end of the year! That is crazy to me. I want to think of 25 things to do before the big day so I’m sure I’ll share that with you all soon. I have no idea how the years have gone so fast as I still feel 18 inside but I’m trying to embrace it.

Share more personal and lifestyle based content. Towards the end of 2017 I really grew out of my blog content. Although I’ll forever love posting about beauty I want there to be more to this little space. I ended up taking some time out and decided to just go back to basics. In 2018 I want to share more personal wordy posts, days out, travel guides and homey tips. I want to improve my lifestyle photography, worry less about what everyone else is posting and just go with the flow.

Invest in some dreamy furniture. I’ve had my eye on some beautiful West Elm style pieces for a year or two now and I’m desperate to revamp our little home. Although we are only renting at the moment  I want to be prepared for when we have our own place one day. I have a wish list full of rose pink soft furnishings paired with brass details and I can’t wait to make a start on some pieces in 2018.

So that’s it for my 2018 goals! I’m super positive I’ll be able to achieve all of these by the end of the year which is such an amazing feeling. What are your goals for 2018?

  • Happy new year to you! These are all great goals and I hope you’re able to tick them off. I especially love your travel goals, those are some really cool places. My main goal for 2018 is to be self-disciplined in every aspect of my life. xx

    • I agree! I hope you have a lovely 2018 xx

  • Happy New Year!
It’s nice to see a travel goal of less than like 50. I’m aiming for 3, and they will hopefully all be in Europe.

    • I think I need to be realistic – I would love to fit in more but there’s never enough time! xx

I think a polaroid camera is a terrific idea! I’m also planning on printing my photos (or getting a film camera) in the near future. Having everything so digital these days make our photos have somewhat less meaning, so it’d be good to invest in a different method.
Lovely post and best of luck for all these goals! Have a nice week x

I agree, traveling more is a must for a New Year’s resolution. I hope I get to visit 3 different countries this year as 3 is my favourite number <3

    Lots of love,

I couldn’t agree more on the first one! Although I love traveling so much I sometimes just get too cosy at home and always find excuses not to travel (sounds crazy as I type that and already getting angry at myself haha). This year I just want to DO IT – simply as that. The top of my list this year I think would be some Scandinavian city. For my ‘almost impossible now’ I need to put Iran here (such a beautiful country) – I will try to make it possible in 2018.
Wishing you all the best in this New Year. Hope to see you achieve all your goals!

    • This is me in 2017! I loved being at home and never felt like I needed to travel, I’m hoping to get out of my comfort zone more in 2018 🙂 It’s a dream of mine to visit Scandinavia too, good luck for 2018 lovely xx

  • West Elm do the prettiest pieces, it’s a forever goal to have bits by them in my house too! And travelling is always on the list! Good luck with achieving your goals lovely! xx

    • Me too! I love being at home but nothing beats the excitement of a trip away <3

  • I think these are definitely some great goals!! Looking to mix up your blog content sounds like a wonderful idea – that is also on my list as well. I’m trying to work on my lifestyle photography which is definitely a change from all the product shots I’m used to. I hope you’re able to add a piece of West Elm furniture (or more) into your home this year. I definitely think building up your furniture collection slowly is much better than having to splurge out all at once 🙂 Looking forward to all of your content this year!

    • Your blog is so beautiful Cindy, I love all of your posts <3 Thank you so much xx

  • These goals are great – I’m completely with you on the printing photos one! I’m making it one of my missions this year to fill a photo album full of my memories. I’m terrified my phone will break and I’ll lose all my pictures! x

    • That’s such a good idea! I always worry I’m going to lose mine too! xx

  • investing in furniture is up on my list too as i really want to finish the flat and make it perfect. i wish you all the best for 2018.

  • These are all great goals! I’m hoping to visit a couple of new places this year too – I’m a homebody and love being at home, but I don’t want to miss out on what the rest of the world has to offer 🙂 xo

  • I want to visit at least 2 new places this year as well, so strange that myself & my boyfriend have the same places on our list! Think we’re off to Berlin in March though and maybe Italy in the summer!
