2017 Skincare Discoveries

2017 Skincare Discoveries

2017 was definitely my year for skincare. I decided to up my routine more so than ever and take the time to really understand my skin. I discovered new brands, minimised my routine for better results and felt more confident than ever in my own skin. Of course there were times where I wouldn’t be seen without a heavy duty concealer and evenings where a thick layer of face mask was the only thing stopping me from having a mini-meltdown in the bathroom mirror! However I’m totally over the moon with my routine. I wanted to round up a few of my 2017 skincare discoveries for both the face and body with you all.

Fresh Sugar Face Polish – After lusting over the beautiful Fresh range I decided to pick up the Sugar Face Polish whilst in Paris. I have to say I’m totally obsessed! The silky smooth formula exfoliates and hydrates the skin whilst instantly revealing a clearer, smoother and more radiant complexion. It smells delicious too!

Glossier – One of the biggest beauty phenomenons of 2017 was Glossier shipping to the UK. I’ve totally fallen in love with their products and have already gone back for more! The Super Bounce Serum has infused my skin with hydration throughout the winter months and really made a difference to my complexion. The Milky Jelly Cleanser is the perfect all rounder and works beautifully for a morning pick me up. I also couldn’t live without their Balm Dotcom’s and the Priming Moisturiser.

Lush Ultrabland Facial Cleanser – Easily my holy grail cleanser for removing makeup without stripping the skin. I suffer with dryness and this is the only product that keeps my skin nourished and hydrated during makeup removal. The super thick consistency glides over the skin whilst removing any impurities before revealing a glowing and plump complexion.

Aesop Parsley Seed Face Mask – A fairly new discovery but a much anticipated one at that. Seeing as I’m always striving to achieve fresh, natural looking skin this mask is amazing at removing any underlying problems that lead to breakouts. My skin has felt in better condition, the texture is smoother and overall so much clearer. I really enjoy applying this mask and just know my skin is going to thank me for it afterwards!

Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Perfume – This year I have found my signature scent with Jo Malone’s Blackberry and Bay perfume. It makes me so happy every single time I use it and always reminds me of the summer in Brighton! The light, refreshing and slightly floral scent totally brightens my day and feels so luxurious too! A must try for 2018.

Lush Sleepy Body Lotion – For dreamy evenings snuggled up in bed with a book I cannot recommend ‘Sleepy’ enough. I use this every single night before bed to help me wind down and induce a good nights sleep! I’m totally in love with this creamy lavender body cream and can’t imagine my evening routine without it. One of my favourite 2017 skincare discoveries for sure!

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel – If there’s one product that can instantly boost my mood it’s Snow Fairy. The bright pink, slightly iridescent formula is enough to make me happy and the super sweet girly scent is an added bonus! This has definitely brightened the cold, wintery mornings in 2017.
