It’s that time of year where Christmas parties are on the horizon, winter walks are almost a daily occurrence and my early autumn wardrobe is in need of an update. I’ve always felt so inspired by winter wear. I love cosy layers, oversized jumpers and all the velvet. I definitely feel more in my comfort zone when it comes to dressing at this time of year. After planning a huge wardrobe clear out there’s a few items topping my winter wardrobe wishlist.
A Velvet Jacket – I am totally lusting after a velvet jacket right now. To me velvet has always been a staple for the winter and always reminds me of Christmas. I’ve seen some beautiful velvet blazers around recently and I’m longing for one in my wardrobe. This tailored blush pink offering is top of my winter wardrobe wishlist and I’m also obsessed with this casual navy one! Velvet jackets look perfect with jeans and boots or layered over a simple dress with heels for evening attire.
A Christmas party go-to – My wardrobe is totally lacking in festive evening wear. If you’re a long time reader you know I’m all about the cosy nights in. However with a few christmas events approaching and a festive trip to London I’m totally on the lookout for the perfect party outfit. I’m a huge fan of jumpsuits as they require minimal effort and always look great! I’m also in love with this Metallic Trouser and Embellished Jumper combo. It’s totally wearable for the festive season but would work separately too.
Super cosy Pj’s – No winter wardrobe is complete without some super cosy lounge wear. I absolutely love stocking up on pyjama sets when the cold weather approaches and spend 90% of my evenings wearing them! This star print set is perfect for the festive season and who can resist this cloud print two piece.
Statement knits – I’m so smitten with a statement knit. My wardrobe is full of staple jumpers that are perfect for layering and building outfits with however I’m totally on the lookout for something more out there! I love these Pom Pom jumpers for cosy winter days. This Karma Knit is beautiful and would look perfect with a tailored coat and chelsea boots. Finally, I’ve just ordered this colourful striped jumper to add a pop of colour to my wardrobe!
