Updating My Makeup Bag For Autumn

updating my makeup bag for autumn

I’ve been really enjoying updating my makeup bag for autumn as I’ve found a handful of new favourites. I’ve totally become smitten with my everyday routine as the products I’m using work beautifully together. I’m all about finding makeup that enhances my natural look whilst leaving my skin full of radiance.

One thing I have learnt this year through blogging is that no one makes a base product quite as good as Lancome. I have utterly fallen in love with their Teint Idole collection and I couldn’t imagine using anything else right now. Although I constantly switch up my makeup bag I’m always sure to have a Lancome foundation close by. I start every makeup routine with the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation* for the ultimate coverage that still looks like skin. The finish is in between matte and satin which is perfect for all year round wear. I love how this doesn’t enhance any skin problems such as dryness or blemishes making it a really reliable, effortless foundation. It creates a fresh, glowing canvas ready for makeup application, I’m so in love.

When touching up on the go or lusting for something minimal the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Foundation Stick* comes in handy. I am so so impressed with the formula of this and can hardly believe my skin can look so good from a foundation. I use this as a contour stick as well as touching up too. The coverage is so easy to build up and the finish is honestly flawless! I’m using these on a daily basis for the most natural, lightweight but luminous complexion.

It’s been super easy updating my makeup bag for autumn thanks to Glossier. The Cloud Paint in ‘Dusk’ is the perfect neutral blush for adding a pop of colour to the cheeks/lips. The cream formula is so user friendly and easy to blend into the skin for a radiant pick me up. It’s subtle but noticeable which I love for an effortless look. My current lipstick of choice is ‘Cake’ from the Generation G range. A peachy, pink nude that stains the lips with a sheer wash of matte colour and rarely needs any precision. I love how creamy and comfortable they are to wear. A new autumnal favourite!

Before it’s too late I highly recommend hunting down one of the beautiful Limited Edition Lancome Olympia’s Wonderland Cushion Highlighters*. The packaging alone has made this one of my all time favourite items I own and the highlighter itself is magical. Once my base is finished I apply the highlighter to enhance radiance and achieve a glowing, healthy complexion. It’s seriously dreamy and will last you forever. It’s the perfect skin boost for those chilly autumnal days.

Finally, to add some hydration back into my skin the Glossier Priming Moisturiser has become a new makeup bag staple. The lightweight cream feels super nourishing once applied and creates the perfect base for makeup by blurring imperfections. I tend to only reach for this one in the morning as it’s not too heavy for everyday wear and the buildable formula means it can be adapted to any climate.

So that’s how I’m updating my makeup bag for autumn, what are your current favourites?
