The older I get the more I strive to achieve radiant, natural looking skin. Throughout my teenage years I would always end up masking my skin in the highest coverage foundation I could find in order to achieve (what I thought was) perfect skin. Instead it looked like makeup and in fact didn’t look great at all! I’ve always been strict with my skin care routine and I’ve really grown to understand just how important the right products are when it comes to perfecting your skin without makeup.
First of all exfoliants are your best friend. They come in so many different formulas from acids to masks with many different promises. I love both and aim to exfoliate my skin twice a week being careful not to strip it. The Fresh Sugar Face Polish is a fairly new addition and one I’m totally obsessed with. Firstly it smells absolutely delicious as it’s made up of brown sugar and strawberry seeds! Together they exfoliate and hydrate the skin, instantly revealing a softer, smoother, more radiant complexion. For something a little stronger I use The Ordinary Lactic Acid in the evening. This complexion perfecting exfoliator speeds up the renewal of fresh skin revealing a healthier glow come morning and improving the overall texture.
Every evening once I have finished my skin care routine I’ve been making an effort to use a Facial Roller. I aim to use it nightly after cleansing, toning and moisturising to encourage the products to sink directly in to the skin to boost my complexion. I do feel it helps to boost radiance and perk up my skin ready for the morning. Whether it’s making a difference or not it feels super relaxing and pampering before bed!
The Too Faced Hangover Primer is my current life saver for tired skin. It’s infused with hydrating coconut oil, probiotics and skin revivers to ensure your complexion looks it’s best in the A.M. Since I’ve been applying this I’ve been wearing less foundation as my skin already looks so much more glowing and hydrated!
Finally, if my lips are feeling hydrated then I instantly feel better about myself. I wear lip balm every single day and I’m currently reaching for the Sephora Coconut Lip Balm. The subtle scent is so delicious but not overwhelmingly sweet and the formula isn’t sticky whatsoever. I’ve even got my boyfriend hooked!
