Blog Photo Props That Never Let Me Down

blog photo props that never let me down

Taking photos for my posts are easily one of my favourite parts about blogging. I love experimenting with props, colour and layers to create simple but pretty photos. I have a little collection of blog photo props that never let me down. Perfect for when you don’t have much time or if you are trying to create a theme for your blog.

Pretty flowers > If I’m setting up a flatlay and it doesn’t feel quite right theres always one prop that instantly fixes this. Flowers! I absolutely love little posies of fresh flowers. They are so versatile and can really help pull your colour theme together. A photo always looks super pretty when a corner is filled with beautiful petals.

Marble > This one is so obvious but whenever I’m struggling for a background marble always works. This is the perfect hack for when the lighting isn’t so great or your need a minimal yet beautiful background. I would have a whole house made of the stuff if I could!

Eye lash curlers > Okay so this might sound a little odd but hear me out. Whenever I create a beauty flatlay there’s always one little white space that needs filling and nothing works as well as these! I really should take the time to find something else but this just works.

A pink jumper > My theme has been kinda pink recently and I love it. Whenever an image needs a little bit of colour I always reach for a blush pink jumper or a silk cami. Beautiful items of clothing are perfect for blog photo props and adding in layers to a simple image.

Little trinkets > I love including little homeware trinkets into my photos. They easily make your photos more personal to you and show off a little bit of your style.  This is such a quick fix for when you’re trying to put together a little photography scene and want to create a pretty background. I often buy my homeware with the idea of using them as blog photo props too!

What are your blog photo props that never let you down?

Haha an eyelash curler, I never would’ve guessed! I never take my blog photos like these but I’m still totally a sucker for pretty flowers. Also, indeed, marble never fails. x

I think I need to get a new pair of pretty eyelash curlers to use in my photos, my current ones just don’t go with my theme (plus they are getting old anyway). I just love using my trinket trays in my photos to fill space.

  • Marble is so easy to work with when you want to create bright images! Plus it is so pretty too. You really cannot go wrong with little trinkets being used to fill gaps in photos x

I need to buy myself a couple of faux flowers. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with a pink jumper or blanket! Sadly my eyelash curlers aren’t photogenic at all hahaha! xx

I love the pink jumper idea, never thought of that before. I do love a bit of marble though.
