Spring Beauty Essentials.

Blossom trees, blue skies and the smell of freshly cut grass are starting to make an appearance which can only mean spring is here! I absolutely love the thought of dusting off my spring beauty essentials ready for pink glossy lips, textured beach waves and glowing skin.

I’ve recently been applying the Lancome Pro Hydra Glow Illuminating Primer* under my Giorgio Armani foundation and I am in love with the results. The primer looks so beautiful on the skin and works well to keep my base looking fresh all day. It’s pearlescent glow is so natural but bright enough to make a difference to my makeup.

For that extra bit of glow the Nars Copacabana Highlighter is my favourite for dewy skin. I apply this after my foundation where I usually would apply highlighter and either blend it in with a beauty blender for a soft focus finish.

Bright pink lips are one of my favourite spring trends. Whether they are glossy or matte they instantly brighten up any makeup look. I love the Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Yu for long lasting, pigmented colour that’s not matte. If I don’t have much time I’ll go for a minimal makeup look overall and then apply the Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Cream* in ‘Rose Lancome’ for a hydrating pop of spring colour.

Now my hair is at a shoulder length I love creating textured waves for that effortless beachy look. The OUAI Wave Spray is so perfect at making this happen, it’s lightweight but works amazingly well at holding the style in place and creating a little more volume in the roots.

A spring beauty essentials post wouldn’t be right without a cream blush. The Lancome Cushion Blush* in Sorbet Grenadin is the most beautiful coral. It’s very bright however so a little really goes a long way when it comes to adding some peachy pink colour on to the cheeks.

Finally for the eyes I like to make them look slightly bronzed with a mix of matte and shimmer. My favourite little duo is of course one of the Nars Eyeshadow Palettes, I couldnt decide between Alhambra and Isolde as they are both so beautiful! Super easy to blend, perfect for spring and the quality is amazing.

What are your spring beauty essentials?

  • I have been really loving the Armani foundation, I didn’t expect to as I have oily skin but as long as I use a mattifying primer it works well and looks flawless. That NARS Duo looks so pretty.
