Hello 2017…

Hello 2017

Wow, what a year. I can’t say I’m going to miss 2016 if I’m honest, it threw more challenges at me then I ever thought I could face but here we are at the start of a fresh year ready to do it all again. I’ve decided to count 2016 as a filler year, one that needed to happen in order to move forward whilst getting all of the bad stuff out of the way in one go. It was tough but it also taught me a lot and made me appreciate the simple things that happen everyday.

Blog > One of the main things that brought me both amazing opportunities and endless days of overthinking last year is blogging. In 2016 I created multiple articles for Yahoo Beauty, had a street style shoot for both Grazia & Heat Magazine, took part in the Boots ‘Beauty Hunter’ campaign and had my face on their adverts (still surreal to this day!) went on a trip to London with L’Oreal as well as getting the chance to work with some amazing brands! Looking back on all of this makes me feel nothing but excitement for the year to come. I’m going to work harder than ever to keep at it and take as many new opportunities that come my way. Although it has been super tough with a new full time job, I’m determined to make it work and continue posting 3 times a week.

What to expect in 2017? I have a new re-design on the cards and I can’t wait to see the finished result. It might take a week or two to get right but it’s exciting none the less!

Life > My personal life has taken more than a lot of bad news this year and I spent the majority of the year ‘half way up the mountain’ as described to me by a lovely family member. It totally made sense and put everything in to perspective for me. I’m hoping this year will be full of travels, spontaneity and hopefully a leap forward to having my own Pinterest worthy place to live. I’m trying to not allow the last year to make me anxious and skeptical for the year to come. The main thing I want to make time for this year is taking some more time out for myself without feeling guilty. I never take the weekend off to do absolutely nothing or binge watch a whole series in one night. So I’m really going to try to allow myself a little more time off and enjoy every single second of it!

What I want from 2017… My new years resolution is simply to have more fun and worry less. I want to learn to be happy for what I have whilst working towards what I want!

What are your goals for 2017 and your highlights of 2016?
