My Festive Travel Makeup Bag

Festive Travel Makeup

This weekend I’m off on my final trip of the year to London. It’s mainly just a festive trip to do some last minute Christmas shopping under all of the lights and enjoy some time away before the end of the year. I’ve never been up in December before so I’m excited to be amongst the atmosphere and get lost in the crowds of Christmas shoppers. I thought I would show you all some of the products I’ve been loving recently and what I’ll be packing in my festive travel makeup bag.

A foundation I have been using non-stop lately is the Bourjois Healthy Mix. I absolutely love how radiant this makes my skin look and it lasts so well throughout the day. The coverage is super impressive and I only ever get compliments on my skin when I’m wearing this one! For a bit of extra glow I have been applying the Nars Copacabana Highlighter for that beautiful festive shimmer. This is the most beautiful champagne liquid highlighter and so Christmassy. To add a bit of colour back into my skin I have been using the Lancome Teint Idole Cushion Foundation* as a bronzer, it’s so easy to blend and has a dewy, soft focus finish.

A new palette I recently picked up mainly to pop in my festive travel makeup bag is the NYX Nude Palette. I’m not really a fan of the branding but the shadows are such good quality and the shades are just beautiful. I use all six and it’s the perfect little compact for travelling around with. I always take my Mayebelline Lash Sensational Mascara and Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers along with me as they are complete makeup bag staples.

For lips I have chosen two of my festive favourites. The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes is a lovely day time mauve that feels weightless on the lips. For something a little more special in the evening I can’t miss out on wearing Charlotte Tilbury Love Liberty as this is the ultimate Christmas Lipstick! I just love them both.

I couldn’t not mention this adorable travel size pot of the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm! It’s super cute and the perfect luxury oil cleanser to use after a wintery Christmas shopping day.

What would be in your festive travel makeup bag?

I love the Healthy Mix foundation too, it’s beautiful! The NYX palette looks like something I’d get a lot of use out of, it has the perfect neutral eyeshadows.

  • Cushion is such a perfect thing for traveling, they’re so handy. The NYX palette sounds like a great one for travel and the colors are pretty wearable too!

  • The CT lipstick is so pretty, I need to start wearing the darker colors more to get more festive. Any eyeshadow that is shimmery is in my bag!

  • I have got to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation! I walk past it every time and think about it but end up leaving it. Great makeup picks you’ve shared!

  • NYX Lip Products are some of my favourites. I love the Maybelline mascara on the days I don’t wear false lashes.

  • Yay cushion compacts! They’re definitely one of my favourite things ever to travel with because it’s so fuss free – going away this Christmas I’m bringing my Sulwhasoo cushion, Omorovicza travel size cleansing balm (think it’s similar to the EH one!) and my trusty Etude House mascara for these droopy eyelashes! I’ve never tried any NYX products but have gifted some to my friends but they always look great in the colour selection but a similar one I have is the Sephora lip creme 🙂

  • This is gorgeous! I wish I had known there is a travel size version of the EH balm, I used it for the first time last night and I never want to be apart from it again. Obsessed, love the Lancome Teint Idole foundation too, they come in a great shade range, thanks for sharing xxx

Gorgeous post! I love cushion foundations are one of my favouries but I do think you don’t get as much product in them but I just love the formula! I agree with the soft matte cremes, they just feel so comfortable and perfect for Christmas time! xx

  • I have heard so much about the Bourgeois Healthy Mix foundation, but am yet to take the leap… but I’m a sucker for a radiant glow! And that highlighter looks stunning… what a pretty makeup bag collection 🙂

  • The little pot of EH cleansing balm is so cute! I wish everything came with an extra travel sample – it would make everything so much easier!

The NARS highlighter also looks beautiful, and great photos!

  • I love going to London around this time of year, I love to see all of the lights and see Harrods all lit up!
My go to foundation for this time of year is the Giorgio Armani, it stops my skin from drying out in the cold!
