It wasn’t until I went to Paris last year that I really fell in love with the trench coat style. Walking through the streets, people watching from cute cafes and sightseeing were the best ways to scout true Parisian style and I craved the look for weeks after! Whilst I was there we visited a beautiful department store, mainly for the rooftop view, but I fell in love with this little trench! I knew it would fit perfectly into my wardrobe and it’s totally a staple for the transitional months.
Seeing as I wear a lot of neutral colours (aka 50 shades of black) I thought this would be the perfect addition to my autumn wardrobe. It’s classy, smart and the perfect coat to pair with basics. I didn’t realise just how much I would wear it, it literally goes with everything! Seeing as it’s not quite warm enough to leave the house without a jacket of some sort right now I’ve been reaching for this trench pretty much everyday. I love the Burberry vibes too as it’s a really close shade and fit to the original. (Similar coat here, here & here!)
The leopard print lining is what made me get this one over any others. I didn’t even shop around as this was the first one I saw and I instantly knew it was the one! Seeing as I’m around 5 ft 4 the length is perfect and can be really flattering too. There are so many different styles of trench coats available at the moment but you can’t beat the original and I’m so happy I have this one to brighten up a simple outfit. I’m definitely going to make the most of this trench coat before it gets too cold!
For this day wondering around Bath, I paired it with a simple black roll neck jumper, a leather skirt and super cosy tights. Seeing as we were going to be walking a lot I knew the perfect shoes would be my go-to flats right now from Asos (full post here).
What do you think of the trench coat look?
