Now that NYX is finally stocked in Boots I couldn’t resist heading down to my new local counter and going a little NYX crazy before it all goes out of stock! I had a few products in mind to pick up and I knew they wouldn’t stick around on the shelves for long. It’s so reasonably priced for the quality which is why I guess it’s so popular! Most of the hype surrounds their lip products so I had to give a few a go.
Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Stockholm’ – This is the perfect nude, peach toned matte lipstick that I have come across. The formula is so soft but super matte and barely budges once applied. I can even drink a coffee without this transferring onto the cup, it’s that good! I can totally tell why this one has been sold out for ages!
Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in ‘Ruffle Trim’ – This one is slightly more brown toned and bolder than Stockholm but a similar shade none the less. It’s more pigmented and dries down quicker but still feels equally as weightless.
Butter Gloss in ‘Tiramisu’ – These are perfect for applying on the go for a minimal lip look or if you want a break from wearing a matte. They are really sheer with only a slight tint which I find perfect for layering over other lip products or just for wearing alone.
Lip Liner in ‘Nude Pink’ – This one reminds me of a pinker version of MAC’s Soar lip liner. It does have tiny specs of glitter in but that doesn’t transfer too much on to the lips and dries un-noticable. This is a beautiful evening shade and it applies so easily.
Slide On Lip Liner in ‘Nude Suede Shoes’ – My favourite shade of this NYX haul is this nude, brown lip liner. The formula is so creamy and soft it’s a dream to apply. I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of this shade all year round and it’s the exact shade I’ve been after. It’s similar to Boldly Bare from MAC with a slight hint of Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk so I will probably keep repurchasing this one for half the price!
Single Eyeshadow in ‘Happy Hour’ – A lovely matte, true brown that’s sort of like a bronzer shade but in eyeshadow form. I bought this one for when I’m travelling and just want an easy all over the lid shade. It’s also the perfect crease shade for a brown smokey eye. For £3.50 I can’t get enough!
Above & Beyond Concealer – A creamy concealer with extreme coverage (although after a couple of uses I don’t find it to be that extreme!) that’t perfect for neatening up lip liner, brows and eyeshadow! It’s great as an eyeshadow base too.
HD Concealer – I’ve mentioned this concealer a couple of times before so I repurchased one whilst I had the chance. It’s a great all round concealer with medium to high coverage. I picked up one shade lighter than my foundation and use it as a cream highlight to brighten dull areas.
Brow Pencil in ‘Taupe’ – I’m really impressed with this pencil it’s almost an exact dupe for MAC Fling and you need less product which I love. It’s so easy to define your brows and get a more precise outline. It also comes with a brush on the other end!
That’s everything from my NYX haul. Let me know your favourite NYX products below!
