Aesop is a brand I’ve lusted after for over a year now but I’ve never known where to start. After reading a few online reviews and never coming across a bad word, I knew that it was time to do some research and make a purchase myself. I recently visited their Covent Garden store with the Parsley Seed Cleansing Mask in mind but after speaking to the lovely lady in person about my skin type she recommended a personalised line up for me. I couldn’t be happier with the customer experience I received and she sent me away with a couple of weeks worth of samples to try before I buy.
At the time of visiting the store my skin was feeling sensitive and reacting to pretty much everything whilst being slightly dehydrated. I was instantly recommend a three step skincare regime which I have fallen in love with since! The first step is the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxident Facial Toner which I pat onto dry skin after cleansing. This toner ‘soothes, balances and evens the appearance of the skin without causing dryness or damage and prepares it for hydration’. Although I don’t see an immediate effect from this step I think it plays a massive part in adding some hydration back into my skin after cleansing.
Secondly, is the Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Hydrator that works perfectly alongside the toner to moisturise my skin leaving it feeling hydrated but not greasy. The anti-oxidant qualities are great for blemish prone skin and considering as I often breakout from overly rich moisturisers this is perfect. I love everything about this moisturiser and I can really see a difference in the condition of my skin, it looks a lot clearer without makeup whilst feeling so much healthier.
Finally, the targeted treatment I have been using is the Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Mask. I think this is definitely my favourite out of the three and the one I cannot wait to purchase! I apply this only to the areas prone to breakouts, so mainly just along my chin and jawline, allow it to set for 15 minutes before rinsing it off. My skin instantly feels amazing after and looks a lot less troubled with blemishes. After two uses my skin is clearer and breakouts are kept to a minimum for the long term which for me is a life saver!
So now I have had my introduction to Aesop I definitely won’t feel hesitant to make a purchase in store! The products I have tried feel so luxurious and genuinely worth the money as they work wonders for my skin. Plus, who can resist the beautiful packaging?!
Have you tried anything from Aesop before, if so what do you recommend?
