If you are visiting London and you love food then Borough Market is the place for you. Situated in the London Bridge area it is super easy to get too and consists of around 70 stalls of delicious food and drinks. We made the mistake of going to the Breakfast Club just before the market and for anyone who has been before you will know just how big the portions are! This meant we couldn’t take full advantage of the free samples and looking at all of the donuts and cakes was slightly uncomfortable! I would definitely recommend going on an empty stomach as there really is something for everyone there!
The Breakfast Club is easily my favourite breakfast spot I’ve been too. The pancakes are by far the best I’ve ever had. Thick and fluffy topped with fresh fruit, maple syrup and the best vanilla cream I’ve tasted. The atmosphere is really laid back and the staff are always so friendly that the overall experience is what makes us go back every time.
After we finished up breakfast we headed across the road to the market. My favourite stall was definitely the Bread Ahead Bakery. Their famous donuts really were as amazing as they look and it was so hard to decide on a flavour! They had so many pastries on offer from croissants to cakes that I could of spent a fortune. Just around the corner was a stand full of fresh, healthy juices which looked so appetising and colourful. They had a great range of everyones favourite flavours and are perfect to set you up for the day. If you would prefer something a little stronger, look out for the stand that sells prosecco, bucks fizz and mulled wine all for just £3.50 a glass. Outside were stalls selling everything from teas to burgers, to seafood and sweets the list was endless.
After a couple of hours exploring, we walked off our morning full of food and headed over to Tower Bridge to enjoy the incredible city views.
This was 100% my favourite day whilst in London and I would definitely go back and visit again!
