The Sunday Post: Hello Autumn

Autumn is my favourite time of year, there is nothing more comforting than listening to the sound of rain tapping against the window while you’re tucked up inside sipping a hot chocolate wrapped up in blankets. Or those mornings with beautiful blue skies but the cold crisp air that hits your face as you step outside. I love summer for the obvious reasons but I have always believed that it is overrated. For me nothing beats the feeling of autumn and winter and welcoming the build up to christmas.

I love wrapping up in a big cosy jumper and scarf to head out for a walk in the countryside before coming home in the evening to a bubble bath or sitting by the fire. Its the simple things like this that make me happy and bring a feeling of contentment. This weekend has been a quiet one, I spent my time catching up with family and friends, drinking endless amounts of tea and planning a trip away to Bath nearer to Christmas.

As I haven’t done much this weekend I thought I would include a little autumn outfit of the day. I wore this outfit in London one evening when my boyfriend and I went for a walk through St James’s Park. I went for a simple black jumper, topshop jeans and this gorgeous Miss Selfridge duster jacket. I finished it off with some heeled chelsea boots and my current favourite everyday bag.

I’m in desperate need of a new camera, so if anyone has any recommendations that would be good for blogging then please let me know!

What are your favourite things about autumn?
