The Birthday Post:

So as you may have noticed there was no post last Sunday due to me being away, so here is a lengthy Friday post of what I got up to on my birthday to make up for it! London is one of my favourite places to visit for a weekend away, my boyfriend and I stayed at The Strand Palace right behind Covent Garden. I love the hotel itself and how central the location is making it walking distance to pretty much all of the iconic landmarks. I woke up to the sun shining and the most gorgeous view of the Strand. I excitedly opened my presents and cards before getting ready and heading out for breakfast.

We decided to go to Bills in St Martins Courtyard for breakfast, I was craving pancakes (again) with the whole works. This was the first time either of us had visited for breakfast and boy was it delicious. It was still fairly early and there was a slight chill in the air as we headed back to Covent Garden to watch some of the street performers before the shops opened. It was such a lovely morning and the perfect way to spend my birthday.

In the afternoon we headed over to Chelsea for a walk down the Kings Road, a hot chocolate and a look around the Saatchi gallery. If you love contemporary art then I would highly recommend visiting as all of the exhibitions were stunning and beautifully lit. After a couple of hours of some birthday shopping and exploring the area we headed back to the hotel to relax before getting ready to celebrate with an evening meal and finally rounded the day off with a Lush bubble bath.
