Over the last couple of months Shoreditch seems to have been one of the most talked about areas in London. Streets lined with unique cafés, vintage shops and Spitalfields market just around the corner, what more could you ask for? I passed through not long ago on the way to a market and fell in love with the streets that surrounded Shoreditch. I took some pictures and thought I’d share a few on here.
We caught the tube to Liverpool Street station and were immediately amazed by the view that we were faced with. Tall buildings touching the clouds, the Gherkin glistening in the sun and the busy atmosphere on the ground filled with people heading in every direction. I’d only ever seen this area in the skyline from a distance so it was pretty surreal to be standing in the middle of it.
As you enter deeper into Shoreditch every corner you turn are streets decorated with vibrant street art and graffiti. There was so much to look at which helped you to connect with the urban city feel. I would love to go back and spend more time there exploring the boutiques, stopping for a drink and watching the world go by. I think that might have to be added onto the to-do list for next time.
Have you visited Shoreditch? Where would you recommend?
